What is Token Generation Event?

A Token Generation Event (TGE) is when a project's tokens are officially created on the blockchain and distributed to investors, team, and other stakeholders. It's the birth of the token.

What happens at TGE:

• Smart contract deployment: Token contract goes live
• Initial distribution: Tokens sent to presale participants, team wallets, etc.
• Vesting begins: Lock periods and vesting schedules activate
• Trading starts: Usually coincides with exchange listing

TGE vs listing: TGE is when tokens are created. Listing is when they become tradeable on exchanges. Sometimes these happen simultaneously, sometimes TGE precedes listing by days/weeks.
